It is my privilege as Mayor of the City of Vermilion to welcome you to the official city website and a first glimpse of our Harbor Town on Lake Erie. While our small town atmosphere is appealing, you will find we have it all. We provide an excellent education through our school systems; we have great sports programs for youth and adults; we have growing job opportunities and new residential development; a historical community that surrounds our quaint downtown and recreation to satisfy all of your interests. We are located near State Route 2, Interstate 90 and the Ohio Turnpike and only 30 minutes from Cleveland Hopkins Airport.

Community Housing Improvement Program (CHIP)
The City of Vermilion has received a CHIP grant from the State of Ohio to assist property owners with home repairs, private owner rehabilitation, emergency monthly housing assistance and tenant-based rental assistance for first time renters.
Applications may be picked up at City Hall, Monday - Friday, 8:00-4:30.
